UMA, in joint venture with Delcan and Hatch Mott MacDonald, have been awarded a 5-year contract to provide Project Management services to the Toronto Transit Commission until 2011.

This Project Management contract involves directing the delivery of TTC’s multi-year, multi-million dollar capital program of approximately $100-$300 million annually, averaging in excess of 40-50 multi-disciplined construction projects with over 50-60 active contracts.

Specific duties include the following:

  • Project financial accountability, project cost, schedule and quality management
  • Directing and overseeing preparation of the capital budget
  • Project control in accordance with the TTC’s budget, scope, schedule and quality assurance requirements
  • Managing the design process through the preliminary and detailed design phases
  • Managing the preparation of construction contract documents
  • Cost analysis and controls
  • Estimating and scheduling.
