Client: Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR)

Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) has named UMA in association with DMJM Harris, CTE and ENSR as its preferred provider of engineering services across its system.  Services provided by the AECOM team design and construction administration of various types of CPR capital projects throughout Canada and the United States.

 

Under this five-year contract, our team will carry out over 150 projects each year.

Engineering areas will include:

• Grading and drainage
• Track
• Structures
• Signals and communications
• Freight transfer/intermodal terminals
• Transload facilities.

CPR’s 22,530 km (14,000 mile) network extends from the Port of Vancouver in Canada's west to the Port of Montreal in Canada's east, and to the US industrial centres of Chicago, Newark, Philadelphia, Washington, New York City, and Buffalo.  The rail network includes the former Milwaukee Road, Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern (MNS) and the Delaware and Hudson Railway (D&H).
