Kicking Horse Canyon Project

Client: BC Ministry of Transportation
Kicking Horse Canyon is one of the most scenic sections of the Trans-Canada Highway as it twists its way through the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. It attracts a high density of tourist and commercial traffic, and the highway authorities were concerned about the road’s safety record. UMA is part of the lead roadway and bridge engineer team for the upgrade of a 26 km section of the route. Phase 2 of the project, one of the Province’s top highway priorities, is due for completion in 2008.
