In 1975 UMA was selected as project and construction managers of Royal Canadian Mint's new minting facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Since that time, the Mint's reputation as one of the finest minting facilities in the world has grown.
In 1999, UMA managed construction of the Mint's new electroplating facility. UMA acted as project and construction manager, this time with full EPCM responsibilities.
UMA overcame numerous technical, environmental, security and budgetary challenges on this high-profile, fast-track project. Responsible for planning, implementation and project management from design through construction to start-up and commissioning, UMA was able to bring this project to completion significantly ahead of schedule and under budget.
